Chamblee Doraville CID
The Chamblee Doraville CID (CDCID) is a public-private partnership among local commercial property owners, the cities of Chamblee and Doraville, and DeKalb County. The CID advances capital projects and services critical to the health and vitality of the business community.
The CDCID formed in May 2019. By October, the board was eager to begin recruiting commercial business owners to join the CID.
The new organization needed a brand identity, logo, and website to communicate its benefits and allow interested commercial property owners to join easily.
I worked with the client to identify the elements that make the area ripe for business investment. Specifically, we agreed the logo and website needed to stress the area’s varied and unique transportation assets.
As I developed the site’s content, my colleagues at New Tricks designed a transportation-focused logo. We also created a custom map of the CID’s geography to illustrate the area’s proximity to valuable points of interest including DeKalb-Peachtree Airport, MARTA, and Buford Highway.
Website content including board member bios and summaries of community infrastructure projects gives the CID the authority it needs to recruit members and ensure the long-term success of the thriving commercial district.
